Blue Ridge Families of 5th graders ONLY:
For the Adventure Park field trip, All chaperones and students must ride the bus. The park is not open to the public and therefore you are not able to drive your student or yourself to or from the park. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Terry for clarification.

Blue Ridge Families... Summer Slide Bags should have come home.
“Summer Slide” is the tendency for students to lose some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year. Blue Ridge Elementary School students received a book and a math manipulative bag with cards with ways to incorporate the materials at home.

Parents:
Due to the weather we have received over the last few days, we are having to reroute some buses due to road closures. Some buses may arrive later than usual. You may also track bus information on the Jefferson County website.

Dear Blue Ridge families,
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is upon us. Please know that we will have a lot of information coming your way over the next several days. Coming up on Friday all Library books are due. Please check around your home and send in any library books your student may have. They are all due this Friday. In addition, if your child ordered a yearbook they will receive it on Monday. If they would like to purchase one, you may do that as well on Monday. The cost is $20. We accept cash only. Please reach out to me or anyone in the main office of the elementary building if you are in need of assistance for a yearbook. Thank you.

Kindergarten Field Trip has been cancelled today due to weather.

Fun Friday... Tomorrow, 5/9 is Disney Day. Dress in your favorite Disney outfits/shirts.

Blue Ridge Families: Please note we are having work done to repair the
cooling and heating systems in the Primary building. Unfortunately, while they are working on the systems, the temperature on the lower level of the primary building is very chilly, while on the main level it is warm. I am providing this information so that you can make an informed decision on your child's clothing for the day until it is fixed. Thank you for your understanding.

Reminder: Tonight is our Community Engagement Family Night. We will be in the Primary Cafeteria from 5:00 PM to 6:30PM. Please come enjoy some pizza (while it last) and cookies and grab your child's summer fun pack and free book to help" Prevent the Summer Slide!" See you soon.

Blue Ridge Families,
I wanted to let you know that for the next two weeks grades 3-5 are testing and this may change their specials and lunch times. Thank you.

Blue Ridge Families,
Thank you for your patience this afternoon as transportation had to combine some runs. If you go to Jefferson County Website under Department and Services and click on transportation, then you can track your child's bus under JCS Bus Status.
Thank you for your understanding.

See you there!

Mrs. Kandi Kaiser organized and made this Little Library happen. Thank you so much Mrs. Kaiser. This message is what she sent to our staff.
I am so excited to share that Blue Ridge Elementary now has its very own Little Free Library! It is located along the sidewalk next to the bus loop. Through grants from Donors Choose, we received the kit to build the library and our outstanding JCS Maintenance Department installed it for us. The library is registered on the Little Free Library world map, too! We also received a variety of books from the Donors Choose organization, so the library is fully stocked and ready for Summer reading! Please let your students and families know that the library is open 24/7, 365 days a year.
Happy reading!

Dear Blue Ridge Families,
We are excited to invite you to our Family Game Night hosted by the PTO on April 25th from 5:30-7:30 PM. There will be fun for all with games, hot dogs, prizes, and more! Your students should have brought home a flyer yesterday for you to return if you are attending.
We look forward to seeing you there!
