Students at Blue Ridge Elementary School honored Black History Heritage with a schoolwide assembly featuring the Charles Town Middle School choir, under the direction of music teacher Lindsay Dove, accompanied by award-winning gospel composer, singer, and songwriter Maharold Peoples, Jr. The visit marked the second time the CTMS choir was invited to an elementary school to perform two songs of cultural and historical significance, including "Life Every Voice and Sing." For this performance, fourth-grade student McKaila Spencer sang the first verse with an impromptu duet from a student in the audience. Thanks to Mr. Peoples and CTMS for taking the show on the road!

3/6/23: We are flushing the water system at Blue Rudge Elementary School this morning following a power outage over the weekend. Drinking water is temporarily unavailable in the elementary building as a result. Bottled water is on hand for students, and outside water is available in our cafeteria for cooking. We anticipate having the system back to normal by noon today. Thank you for your patience and support as we put safety first.
